On the Kjeldahl farm potatoes, onions and other vegetable crops are grown on 700 ha on the island of Samsø in the centre of Denmark. Inspired by Dutch organic farmers the farm has since 2007 been farmed in 3 m CTF beds. A track width of 3.2 m also matches the combinable crops grown. Three beds are harvested at a time with a 35 foot combine (10.5 m).
Jens Kristian Kjeldahl is a very active member of CTF Europe and both in 2009 and 2015 he hosted an international CTF vegetable seminar. On their own work shop they have developed several machines for their 3.2 m CTF system. These include a planter for sprouted (very early) potatoes. Strengthening of the back axles on the tractors have been made in the workshop on the farm as well. A 3 m destoner has been developed by Grimme to suit the needs on the farm.
